Baggie swap Monochromatic ATCs

Once a year our ATC group does a baggie swap. This is where everyone brings a small baggie of goodies to make cards during the meeting. These baggies are then swapped so that you have to make an ATC with someone else's goodies. This year we decided to put a bit of a theme with it and chose monochromatic. I always enjoy doing this. I think there is something very freeing about having a limited amount of supplies to work with. And to add to the fun and challenge it's someone else's goodies.

I was glad to get a baggie full of white items to make my card. I never get tired of working with just white.

Male Art ATC's

For our ATC group themes, we usually decide on a few of them so we are a bit ahead of the game and for those keeners in the group they can work ahead as it pleases them. I recall when we were discussing topics the idea of mail art came up but then someone ask if that was Mail art or Male art and it went back and forth as to which one it should be with some confusion in the end as to what we decided but it did actually become Male Art. So this is what was created with the Male Art theme.

For me this was a tough theme to work with and it ended up being one of those that got done the morning of the meeting. It sometimes seems odd that some themes are so inspiring while others are a struggle. Oh well, time to think about next months...

Fashion ATC's

This months ATC theme was fashion. I just managed to get an ATC made after working overtime on my chunky books that were due the same time.

Altered Playing card ATC's

I'd like to wish you a Happy New Year but I just realized that I didn't get my last years ATC's all posted. So I'm delaying my wishes for another post and sharing Decembers ATC's. The theme was altered playing cards. As usual everyone out did themselves.

May ATC challenge

At this months ATC meeting we gave ourselves a bit of a challenge. So we didn't really have a theme. What we did is each person brought a sandwich bag of goodies to swap with someone at the meeting and then make a card on the spot. Then we did our usual random swap of a card at the end of the meeting. I think it was a great success with many of us making a few cards from the packages we received.

It's so interesting to see what someone else creates with your stuff. And it's amazing to see how many cards can be made out of one little bag of goodies. I think I found it easier to make cards being limited to just what was in this bag than having my whole studio of stuff to chose from. Here are a few more cards I made while at the meeting from the same bag.
