More Metal fun.

It was time to get the metal out again this past weekend to teach the metal embossed book. I changed it up a bit and had a student do the metal mirror at the same time. They are very similar techniques so I may combine these to workshops in the future. It was a great day with some great creating going on. Check out their wonderful work.

Late summer flowers.

I just thought I'd share a few pics of my flowers right now.
This is an Anemone that I've only had for a few years. I don't know much about them but it's done really well in my herb garden. I need to study up a little on it to see if I can move it to a very sunny spot in the front of the house. The bees are just loving it right now. So glad to see them busy at work.
This Begonia was gifted to me from my Mom in the spring. I potted it up with some Lobelia and it's sits right outside my patio door so I can see it while I have breakfast each morning.
This cutie is Borage and I started it from seed in the herb garden. I've had it before and it always makes me happy to see again.
Here is a new squash we're trying this year. It seems to be very happy on the skid trellis the Tin Man made for it. I think it's also happy with the copious amounts of rain we've had this summer. I've forgotten what kind it is and will have to look it up to see what it's suppose to look like to know when to harvest it.

So those are my favourites at the moment. How is your garden doing?

Happy creative gardening!

Doll ATC's

For some reason this months Doll theme for our ATC group really appealed to me. I guess I did like my dolls growing up. Lately I've been rather nostalgic about my paper dolls though so that's what I made for my card. It was so much fun I just want to make more. All the card were wonderful little dolls creations.

Amazing students work

On Saturday I taught my textured grid canvas to 2 wonderfully creative women. It was my first time teaching this workshop so it was nice to just have the 2 to try it out on. We had great fun with all the different texture pastes and then choosing bits and bobs to go with it. Teaching always inspires me but with this group I even got a few new ideas to work on.

Resin Jewelry students work

Creating jewelry with resin is so much fun and teaching it is equally fun. I get the best students! It's so great to see what designs they create on their own. Last week I had a great group of ladies to make resin jewelry with. I had a wonderful time teaching them and was inspired by their creations. Here they are for you to see for yourself.

What do you think. Weren't they a creative punch? Some did 2 necklaces instead of the usually necklace and earring set while Olive did here own thing with some components she had brought herself.

Happy Creating!
