Unity stamps

Here are 2 more card I made with my new Unity Stamp set and one of the techniques from the newest Technique Junkie Newsletter. Sometimes it takes me a while to getting around to trying some of these techniques but this one was a must do and I found time the same day that my newsletter came in the mail. So with papers that were still lying on my table from my last project these cards came to be.

Well this was a new style of scrapbooking for me. I'm not sure what you would call it but it was a lot of fun to do. I've been reading a few scrapbook bloggers who do this kind of layouts and when I came across this photo I thought I'd give it a try

Unity stamps

I found some time to play with my new Unity Stamps yesterday and made some cards. Here's one using my favourite stamp in the set.

Words Canvas

It seems to be the week to get things finished for me. Actually I started this canvas this week too but it's been in my head for a while. So once I got started I couldn't let it go til it was finished. I think with a few changes this will make a fun workshop.

Well you'd think after all the letters, numbers and word projects that I've done lately that I would have gotten them out of my system but it just doesn't seem to be the case. I have another idea
for a word canvas. Almost the same but with different ways of making the words. Also I think I'll do another letters mirror that's more random so it will look better hanging beside the numbers mirror. But first I need to finish another project I started a while ago and got stuck on. It's a shadow box with kind of a mosaic background. When I was working with the metal embossing the other day the solution for the shadow box came to me. So I'm off to try and finish another project this week. If I get it finished it's got to make a record for how many projects I've ever finished in one week. LOL.

Numbers Mirror

I finally finished the numbers mirror I started a while ago. This was suppose to go with my letters mirror I did a while back but it's a lot more random and has a bit of a different feel to it. I might end up doing another letters one to put up together. For now though I'm working on a similar canvas but with words and saying. I should have it done this week to get it posted here.





I've been playing with my camera again, so here's an angle picture to see the depth of the numbers. The number pad at the top is from a calculator and for the # 1 I used my new Chocolate Brown metal and Big Daddy mold from Ten Second Studio. I think this metal is going to be finding it's way into a lot of my projects in the near future. Lot's of fun.

Scrapbook layout

I actually got to spend a whole day scrapbooking last week. Here's a layout I got finished.


It's been a while since I've done any layouts, it really got me motivated to do more.

Really it's spring!!

Well it really is spring even if it still pretty cold out here. My Snowdrops think this is the perfect spring weather. Some years they barely last a few days because of the heat but this year I think they'll be around for a week or two.




And because spring can never come fast enough or warm enough for me, I set myself to making spring feeling cards to speed the feeling up. I also got some new alcohol inks and Tattered Angel stamps I needed to try out. The chickadee stamp is one I've had for a while and even though it's really kind of wintery I use it for all seasons. The tree is the new Tattered Angels stamp. It comes in a set with two tree tops and the trunk is separate which is nice because I think the tops could be used for other things other than trees. My mind is reeling with ideas. Must go create.
