ATC and Book swap

Today is my ATC group meeting at the Painted Pony. This months theme was MAD HATS. I was stumped all month trying to come up with something but nothing would come. So I just decided this morning I would just do some kind of hat and this is what I got.

Every once in a while our group does a chunky book swap and this is due today too. The theme for our book was WATER. Here's one of my pages. I actually got a real fish and did prints on it. It kind of grossed me out at first but I kind of grew attached to him and named him Fred. Then Tom ate him for supper.

More earrings

Here's some earrings made from watch parts and vintage findings.

Flower necklaces

Well I'm glad we got February over with. This winter has kind of zapped my creative mojo. I'm really looking forward to spring.

I did get a few thing made in the last month though.
I made these necklaces with metal flowers that were flat when I started, so I could stamp them and then bend them into shape.

A little fun

Here's a fun thing to do that I came across while reading the Milk Gallery blog.
Go to your picture file and open the sixth folder and take the sixth picture and post it. Well I found a picture of my husband showing off his new wooden shoes on the first day we arrived in Denmark many years ago. It made me smile and think it's soon time to go back.

Monoprinting

Well again I haven't been very good at blogging. But I haven't really been creating too much to blog about. It's the winter blues that's got me down. I need to crank up the music and the heat and getting creating!!
I did go to a really great Monoprinting workshop at Sue Ukkola's last week. She has a great workshop and I got lots of prints done or at least started. A few of them I probably won't do anything else to and some are good for background things like this card I made for my niece's Birithday.
Some of the prints I really like but they need something more, so I think I'll paste them on a canvas and add some texture and colours. I haven't taken any pictures of them yet. When I'm happy with some of them I'll post them.
Okay I'm going to start the music and get creating.

Letters mirror

I had a lot of fun with this mirror. Again I just did the background without knowing what I was going to put on it. The letters just seemed right. Now I want to make it on canvas and make a series with numbers and words.
