Black Dimensions Canvas
Discover the depth and dimension of using a black background and 3D objects on this 10"x10" gallery canvas. Learn to use modeling paste, metallic paints and paper clay in this full day class. Choose from a large variety of found and made 3D objects to make your own personal piece.

Gel Plate Printing Intro/Refresher
Sat. Aug. 10, 1pm to 5 pm
This is an intro to Gel Plate printing. You'll learn the basics as well as many fun techniques to layer and create texture with acrylic paint on paper. If you have already done some gel printing this is a great refresher class too.
If there is time at the end of the afternoon, you can make a small booklet with one of your prints.

Come and explore the many possibilities of layering paints and other mediums on the gel plate to create fun and amazing prints. We will dive deep into the world of gel plate printing while using a large variety of papers. We will go beyond the basics of using acrylic paint. Learn what other mediums you can use on your gel plate.
Discover the exciting world of watercolour powders while creating the backgrounds for these beautiful cards. We will also be learning to use watercolour pencils, embossing powder and gilding flakes while make 3-5 flowery cards.

Since I discovered Gelli Plate printing it's become one of my favourite ways to escape the world. Once I get started I'm lost to the world. I create piles of wonderfully textural papers for use in many other projects. So now I'd like to share what I've learned.
Gel Plate Printing: Botanicals
Sat. Aug. 17, 1pm to 5 pm
Explore gel printing with a variety of botanicals. Learn to do a basic plant print as well as layering paints and textures with your plant prints.
A basic knowledge of gel printing is helpful but not necessary for this class.
All Supplies are included.

Join the world of Acrylic Pours. In this workshop you will learn how to mix and prepare your paints for what is called a 'dirty pour'. Then watch, mesmerized as your canvas explodes with colour and textures. We will be doing 2 canvases, a few sizes available to choose from. All supplies included.
Workshop fee is $60.

Tree Collage Canvas
In this workshop we will start the day by making our own textured and mark making papers to use on an 8"x8" wood canvas. We will build up our collage with our hand designed papers and then learn to add more depth and texture with paint and other mediums. All supplies are included along with a light lunch.

Take your pours to the next level. Learn to layer paint and swipe to get interesting and unique results. A great addition to the Dirty Pour class but no experience necessary. Choose from a variety of canvas sizes to do 2 different pours. All supplies included.

Gel Plate Printing Basics
This workshop is great for the beginner to gel plate printing or for those that just want a good reminder of the ins and out of gel printing. We will be exploring print making with acrylic paints, stencils and lots of mark making tools. At the end of the day we will make a fun and simple note book with our print for the cover. All supplies are included.

French Stitch Embossed book
Spend an afternoon learning to make your own book. We will explore the world of Krafttex paper fabric as we emboss and paint our book covers. Then, learn to bind your book with a French Stitch method.
Choose what colour, size and interior papers to make it all your own. Size choices are 6"x4" or 6" x6".

Long Tall Sally Book
In this afternoon class we will be creating these beautiful tall chunky books. The finished book stands 11 inches tall, 4 1/2 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches deep.
Learn how to create the cover as well as hand bind it all together and add sumptuous tassels. Everything is include, with lots of papers to choose from, for the cover and inside pages. If you have your own favourite stash of paper you'd like to use you're welcome to bring it along to make it even more your own

Imagination is Boundless
Explore layers and dimensions while creating this wonderful 3D canvas. We will work with a variety of techniques and mediums from collage to texture paste to wax paste and a few others in between. The canvas is 9" x 7". All supplies are included but you are welcome to bring some of your own trinkets to give it a personal touch.

Excavating Layers
In this two day workshop we will be exploring the many ways to use mediums and paint to get a dimensions look and feel to this 12"x24" canvas. Learn to make your own unique textures with a variety of techniques and products. Day one will be spent building up layers of dimensions while day two will be all about getting that layered look with ink and fluid paints.
