Fun with texture paste.

This past weekend was my Grid Canvas workshop and what a fun and creative group of women I had here in the studio. I was just amazed at the works of art that they created. Take a look.

In this workshop, when it comes time to add the embellishments I have many to chose from or the students can bring along some of their own. This time around a few of them used almost all of their own found objects making the project very personal to them. One student used buttons and other elements collected over the years, while another had a  necklace she disassembled to use parts of on her canvas. And a third used one focal element letting the texture stand on its own.

Resin Jewelry workshop

I just had another great Resin Jewelry workshop this past weekend and as usual my students were inspiring. As you can see one did a very unique shape and a few of them used their own finding they brought along making their creations very personal. Don't forget these aren't quite finished. They need a few days to set before the background is trimmed and hung from a chain and ear hooks.
