Tag Tuesday
Well I managed to do the Tag Tuesday challenge on Tuesday. How crazy is that. The theme this week is collage and stickers. I don't use stickers very often but like most of us I have a stash of them anyway. I love to collage so this was a lot of fun to do. I got to try my new Distress Inks I picked up today and I finally used some of the Film Strip ribbon I got a while back. I had some vintage kids photos that were the right size for the strip which made things go a little faster than having to size them.

Black and White Tag
Here's my tag for this weeks tags challenge over at Kard Krazy. The theme this week is Black and White. This was a little more challenging than I thought it would be. I've never thought of myself as very colourful but I guess I'm not just black and white either. It was hard not to but at least a little bit of some kind of colour on the tag. Well that's what challenges are for!

Turning over a new leaf.
As you can see I've been trying some new things lately. I'm working on revamping the blog layout which is always a challenge and a learning experience. So far so good...I think. Let me know how you like it so far and any suggestions would be extremely helpful.
I've also been trying some new techniques in wire wrapping. I made the wire hooks on these earrings and have another project almost finished that I'll show you very soon. It incorporates lots of wire wrapping and bead soup.
Well I'm off to see if I can create this weeks tag challenge!

Foggy morning
Well we woke up to a chilly fog this morning. But we can officially say it's Spring now. We've just got a little more snow left to melt here. The snowdrops have been out for a while now and the tips of the Daffodils are showing too.
Oh how I love spring. Is there a more hopeful time!
It's spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you've got it, you want - oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so! ~Mark Twain

Quiet Sunday morning and I'm a winner.
Well I'm having a quiet Sunday morning while the Tin Man is off having his monthly Massage Therapy. So I thought I'd have a productive time and get some tweeting, blogging and Etsy listing done. So far I'm 2 for 3 on the to do list. Just need to finish this blog and I've been a good girl for a Sunday morning!
My new Etsy listing is for one of the Key necklaces I showed you a few weeks ago. It's my favourite one with the nest and bird. I was going to keep it myself but thought I'd see how it does and make a new one for myself.
I wanted to share my winning necklace with you today. This is from the One Heart One World give away. I received it in the mail the other day and it's a beautiful as the picture on her blog over at CreativSpirit. What an interesting way to use an optical lens. I have a few I've been debating about what to do with and this has given me some inspiration to get them out and try something new.

Quick tag
Just had to do a quick post for my tag before leaving for the weekend. We're on our way to Toronto and Oakville to visit family and son # 1 while son #2 looks after the dog who needs a little extra TLC right now.
I found this website last week Kard Krazy that has a tag challenge every Tuesday. How awesome is that!! I didn't get to it last week but finally found a little time this week to get one done, so here it is. So check out her web site to see the other tags.
Oh yeah, the theme for this weeks challenge is Arches. It was a bit of a challenge for some reason but I did manage to get an arch on my tag.
Oh, and the little orange head in the corner is made of UTEE. I got together with two amazing friends Sheila and Renee for an afternoon to play with our melting pots. So this is one of the pieces I made.
Have a great weekend.

Key Charm Necklaces
I did some more jewelry creating yesterday. I've used old keys in some necklaces before but most of them sold before I took pictures of them. So I snapped them this time right away. They're made with real antique keys I found at an Antique shop. I love old keys but never knew what to do with them before. I don't know where I got the idea to make them into necklaces but I like the way they turned out.
I also made my own hooks and rings for a closure that's adjustable. I like the way these turned out too. I'll definitely be doing more of these.

Back at the Jewelry
Well I kind of got away from my jewelry making lately. I have been trying some new things out with wire but haven't really made too many pieces. This is one that I made with mostly Vintaj brass. I made the flower pendant a while ago but then couldn't decide what to hang it on. I've been wanting to make another asymmetrical necklace so I work the flower into this design. I made the closure on this necklace with a wire swirl. I like that it sits on the side instead of the back. It's just part of the design.
I've been adding to my Etsy shop and I should have some more new pieces to show soon.
I'm also in the process of making a few changes to the blog. So if things look a little strange once in a while bear with me. And if you have any suggestions or thoughts on the changes please let me know. I'd love to hear from you.
